Italian Ab Initio is a course for beginners, designed to be followed over two years. The main focus of the course is on learning the language for every day purposes and situations. Topics include shopping, booking hotel accommodation, ordering food in a restaurant and coping with emergencies such as accidents and theft. This course is offered at standard level only of the IB diploma. You will have additional conversation practice with a Language Assistant, either individually or in small groups and develop linguistic skills and cultural awareness through watching films, reading magazine articles and listening to music.
