To study music, requires all students to be enthusiastic and committed as they develop over their course a wide range of skills in performance, listening, appraising and composition. Students also become more critically aware of how and why music has evolved so dramatically over the last four hundred years. There is a focus on asking questions and realising how the popular and classical music of today is written as a result of musical decisions made by composers of the past
